SLO Donut Co.

Happy New Year!  Our coffee crawl today took us to a very popular coffee/donut house called SLO Donut Co., also known as SLODoCo.  It is located in the Foothill shopping center in San Luis Obispo.  Sheila had her usual small black coffee, which was strong and tangy.  It would be a great partner with a sweet donut.  It was $2.00.  Joan had a small hazelnut sugar-free latte with soy milk.  It was $3.25.  It was robust and and not sweet  with a hint of hazelnut flavor.  The clientele included a dad and his little daughter reading a book while enjoying their morning  coffee and juice, young couples, students, local workers, and retirees.  The setting was cheerful, well-lit, with plenty of seating, which including comfortable benches, tables, counters and tall chairs.  There is no outdoor seating.  A number of lively conversations were being enjoyed this morning. The walls are busy with all kinds of diverse and colorful art.  If you enjoy a donut with your coffee, this is the place to go.  As they say on a sign in the establishment, "Be happy and eat more donuts!"  In fact, Joan took this to heart, and purchased a chocolate croissant for her husband John.  Mmm hmmm!
