Black Horse on Foothill

Today we had a very pleasant experience at Black Horse on Foothill.  Sheila got her usual tall regular coffee and found it to be hearty and robust. It was $1.85. Joan got an iced tall caramello coffee drink with one shot (some places call them shots, some call them pumps) of espresso, nonfat milk, and, get this...homemade caramel, which is made fresh every day!  It was $3.75.  The sweet caramel flavor made it a refreshing summer drink.  Joan highly recommends it.  Black Horse has indoor and outdoor seating, with a covered front patio and umbrellas and tables in the back.  They also offer a variety of breakfast items, baked goods, and salads.  It is a dog friendly establishment.  Look for our next blog in a couple of weeks. We will be visiting Coastal Peaks.
Think About It:  Don't jump to conclusions.  You might think you know everything about a certain situation, but chances are, you don't.

Steynberg Gallery

Our latest coffee outing was to Steynberg Gallery Tea and Coffee House , at 1531 Monterey Street.  It is a large facility with both indoor and outdoor seating.  The tables are not too close together, so private conversations are kept private. You can enjoy the latest art exhibit while you sip your drink or enjoy one of their food items. The regular medium roast coffee was $2.00 and was smooth and delicious.  Joan had a large iced caramel latte with nonfat milk and two pumps of caramel.  She found it sweet (no extra sweetener needed) and refreshing.  It was $3.75.  Steynberg Gallery boasts a stage and a calendar of events worth looking into.  It is located in the old Farmer Bros. Coffee building.

First Stop...Outspoken

Welcome to SLO Coffee Crawl!  Really, this blog is just an excuse for two friends to get together at least twice a month at a different coffee place in San Luis Obispo.  One of us enjoys a good old cup of plain black coffee, and the other likes it a little fancy.  We'll share our feelings and a few pictures of each place.  We hope you enjoy our blog!
Sheila and Joan

Our first stop...Outspoken at 1422 Monterey.
Outdoor and indoor seating with a cute bench and tables and chairs outside and an indoor couch and tables and chairs...very comfortable.
The Earth Blend plain black coffee was $1.75 and very mellow and enjoyable!  The Americano with extra 1/2 and 1/2 and a shot of vanilla was $2.75 with an extra 50 cents for the shot.  Joan pronounced it delicious!
